Heavy are the eyes of the Destroyer of Worlds.  I was moved by the emotion found in photographs of Robert Oppenheimer after witnessing the test detonation of the atomic bomb. ...' I am become death, the destroyer of worlds'. The line, from the Hindu sacred text the Bhagavad-Gita, has come to define Robert Oppenheimer, but its meaning is more complex than many realize.
