After leaving work early due to an industrial paper cutter accident I received 4 stitches across a knuckle which was cut to the quick. I was dropped off at home in a dizzy daze from whatever pain killer they gave me at the hospital. I flopped on the couch and immediately fell into a deep sleep. Soon my mind proceeded to have a vivid epic dream about a future society with sentient vegetation—but thats another story.
I woke from the dream after 4 or 5 hours and immediately began painting on this old casement window from a 19th century home across from the Texas A&M golf course in College Station, Texas just a few blocks from where I was living. The image emerged as abstract expression influenced by the wild dream and from the energy expressed by those who stood near the window looking through it over more than a century and many generations of souls.
This is an artwork you feel without touching it.
