I observed this beautiful creature in Mexico City at the Museo Dolores Olmedo Patiño located at the ancestral home of Diego Rivera's mistress. The museum houses a large collection of Frida and Diego's artwork. Legend and folklore suggests that out of a fit of jealousy Dolores Olmedo Patiño stole away with Frida's beloved peacocks letting them run free on her large ancestral estate. This beautiful peacock could very well be directly related to Frida's original birds.
