Focus is a skater term from those days... 1980s-at least the 2000s, "Focus!" was expressed after completing one of those crazy hard tricks and staying upright without severe injury by yelling it and stomping on your board cracking it in half and ripping it in two— in celebration.

Skateboarding at any competitive level is an adrenalin powered rush of testosterone charged excitement with the thrill of impending catastrophic injury. It was a great creative alternative to the youthful primal urges many men contend with, the urge to fight, hunt or kill.

Yes I rode but alas I became 6' 1'' built like a halfback! My Vans high tops could have been called Air Challenged! My board was a Zorlac Big Boy!
