Doug LaRue

Exposed to a wide range of creative expression at an early age Doug LaRue embraced the raw organic nature of painting expressed by his mother, an accomplished Oil Painter and the technical aspects of Photography and Design from his father, an Engineer.

LaRue attended advanced Art classes in high school, worked at camera stores, photo labs, interned with photographers including an associate and contemporary of Ansel Adams, attended university summer classes in advanced photography, won a national publication design award and was featured in a documentary film which led to a college scholarship.

Doug earned a degree in Environmental Design while working as a Sports Photojournalist for United Press International and Associated Press. Doug spent a few years as a Medical Illustrator and attended many artist workshops including Advanced Airbrush at the Smithsonian Institute of Natural History in Washington, D.C. LaRue's career in Publishing started in the art room and moved up the ladder to Art Director then Creative Director, Editor in Chief, Executive Producer. Doug founded Glaze Studios, LLC an award winning creative production studio which provides a wide range of work for Motion Pictures, Publications and Performing Artists as well as all kinds of normal businesses.

LaRue supports Water Conservation causes and is the administrator for social media groups related to water, arts and music.
