Since childhood Doug has had a gifted affinity with tools of all kinds thanks to the diligent training of his mechanical engineer father and his artist mother who shared her art box with him. From crayons and #2s to Prisma, airbrush and India Ink... Macs, mice and Wacoms to cameras of all kinds moving or still. Combined with technical training in Architecture, Design, Filmmaking and Medical Illustration LaRue is compelled to produce fun uplifting bright works of art with the help of his closest friends who provide some of the key elements that help manifest his unique mixed media flavor.
